Understanding and Graphing Functions

Relations and Functions allow us to relate different sets of data based on a mathematical formula. This concept teaches us to identify certain relations as functions, and graph them. We learn about the domain and range of a function, and also learn about line and scatter plots used to describe them. In addition, we learn about arithmetic sequences.
The concept is broken into smaller topics, which makes it easier and much more fun for students. The topics are listed below:-
Arithmetic Sequence
In this track, we learn to recognize and extend an arithmetic sequence. We also learn to find the nth term of an arithmetic sequence.
Graphing Relationships
In this topic, we learn to match simple graphs with situations and write situations for given graphs. We also learn to sketch graphs and identify them as Continuous or Discrete.
Relations and Functions
In this topic, we learn to identify functions. We also learn to find the domain and range of relations and functions.
Scatter Plots and Trend Lines
In this track, we learn to create and interpret scatter plots. We also learn to use trend lines to make predictions.
Writing and Graphing Functions
In this topic, we learn to write, evaluate, and graph functions. Identifying dependent and independent variables, domain and range are also covered.
