Counting and Number Patterns

This topic deals with counting and number patterns. Even and odd numbers and identifying the number patterns are the main concepts.

Topic: Number Patterns

  • Find the adjacent numbers on the hundred’s chart

  • Check the number of boxes separating the two numbers. The number will be repeated for a series

  • The number before a blank has to be located on the hundred’s chart

  • The numbers which follows it using the same pattern is the answer

  • For the second approach, identify the pattern using two adjacent numbers

Topic: Even and Odd Numbers

  • Identify the ones digit number for the number

  • Even numbers have 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 as the ones digit or the last digit of the number

  • Odd numbers have 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 as the ones digits or the last digit of the number

  • Identify whether the number is even or odd using the ones digit and the two thumb rules mentioned above
