Logical Reasoning

This concept covers the basics of logical reasoning, which is a fundamental tool in high school algebra and geometry. We learn to prove statements using logical reasoning and facts. Topics covered include conjectures, and inductive and deductive reasoning.
The concept is broken into smaller topics, which makes it easier and much more fun for students. The topics are listed below:-
Conditional Statements (including Venn Diagrams)
In this topic, we learn to identify, write, and analyze the truth value of conditionals. This track also introduces the concepts of writing the inverse, converse, and contrapositive of a conditional statement.
Make Conjectures using Inductive Reasoning
This topic explains the use of inductive reasoning to identify patterns and make conjectures. It also covers proving conjectures true and the use of counterexamples to prove them false.
Verify Conjectures using Deductive Reasoning
In this topic, we learn to verify conjectures using deductive reasoning. We also learn to apply the Law of Detachment and the Law of Syllogism in logical reasoning.
