Multiply Greater Numbers

The symbol x and * are both used to indicate multiplication

To multiply greater numbers by 1 digit number, first multiply the ones, then the tens, and then the hundreds by the one digit number

If the product is greater than 9, we need to regroup

14 ones is equal to 1 tens and 4 ones. 14 tens is equal to 1 hundreds and 4 tens. 14 hundreds is equal to 1 thousands and 4 hundreds

In the Partial Products Method, we need to keep track of the place value of each digit

To multiply a 2 digit number by another 2 digit number using the Partial Products Method, split both the numbers into two parts and then multiply all the parts

To multiply a 3-digit number by a 1-digit number using the Partial Products Method, split the 3-digit number into three parts. Multiply all the separately by the 1-digit number and then add the three products

Add all the partial products to get the final product
