Data and Graphs

When we collect information and show it in an organized way, it is called data. Data can be represented in many forms, such as tables, bar graphs, and pictographs. This concept explores the collection and display of data in various ways. We also learn to find measures that describe data, such as median, mode, and range.
The concept is broken into smaller topics, which makes it easier and much more fun for students. The topics are listed below:-
Collect, Organize and Represent Data
In this topic, we learn how to make and interpret stem-and-leaf plots, line plots, tally charts, and frequency tables. We also learn to choose an appropriate display.
Coordinate and Line Graphs
This topic deals with understanding how to read and make coordinate graphs and line graphs.
Find Mean
This topic deals with finding the mean of a set of numbers.
Pictographs and Bar Graphs
This topic deals with making and reading pictographs and bar graphs. We also learn to read double bar graphs.
Range, Median, and Mode
In this topic, we learn to find the range, median, and mode for a set of data.
