  • The tally charts and the frequency tables are used to organize and represent the data

  • The tally marks are used to record the data and place them in one column

  • A tally mark is a short vertical mark that counts 1

  • Four tally marks with a fifth, diagonal mark crossing them count as 5

Topic: Line Plots

  • A line plot is created to see each data point

  • A line plot consists of a number line that includes the highest and lowest data values

  • The frequency for any data value can be found by counting the number of x's above that data value
